What does it do?

Using pneumatic (air) compression, the pump pressurizes the different chambers in the boots at different intervals over multiple cycles. In medical and athletic research, this type of compression is referred to by a variety of names, including “intermittent,” “external dynamic,” and “sequential” pneumatic compression.

How does it work?

The pressurized compartments in the boots squeeze your legs, mobilizing fluids and speeding up your body’s natural process of filtering lactic acid, metabolites, and other debris that build up after exercise-induced trauma out of your blood.

What are the benefits?

Intermittent, dynamic pneumatic compression is a proven way of improving blood circulation and driving higher volumes of healthy, filtered, and oxygen-rich blood to your muscles as they rebuild. This is what significantly reduces the time it takes you to recover and get back to training. Research also reveals multiple additional benefits. For example, dynamic compression mitigates stiffness, increases ROM (range of motion), helps prevent DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), reduces swelling and inflammation, facilitates greater protein absorption, and, over time, enhances muscle performance and longevity.

Rapid Reboot compression technology speeds up your body’s natural healing processes by enhancing blood flow to your muscles to facilitate cellular repair and protein synthesis, boosting lymphatic drainage to relieve inflammation and reduce swelling, and mobilizing waste products such as lactic acid and excess fluids. When should I use it?

Rapid Reboot is ideal right after a workout, race, or event, especially after a long, arduous one. However, you can use the boots after a long day, anytime your legs are feeling sore, or whenever you feel you need to reboot!

Another important thing to remember is that while Rapid Reboot can help with recovery after one use, helping your body recover is an investment of time and requires consistency. In other words, make a habit of using Rapid Reboot!

Also, remember to eat well and get enough sleep. Dynamic compression is an important part of recovery, but it’s not the only part.

What are the contraindications?

While Rapid Reboot is safe to use for a variety of applications, please consult your doctor before using Rapid Reboot if you know or suspect you may have the following:

  • deep vein thrombosis
  • pulmonary embolism (blood clot) or edema
  • thrombophlebitis
  • inflammation of the skin (e.g., erysipelas, cellulitis)
  • ischemic vascular disease
  • severe peripheral neuropathy, or related issues and complications.
